Workshop Overview

This fun, fast-paced workshop is designed to take the fear and anxiety out of pitching while also making your pitch feel less like a presentation and more like a natural, engaging conversation.

You’ll learn the basics of pitching, practice your Quick Pitch, and get real-time feedback — all while experiencing what it’s like to be pitched to (invaluable role play!).

This is pitching made easy — and even fun!

What is a Quick Pitch?

It’s all the essential information your listener needs to know—if that’s all you ever get to say. A strong Quick Pitch delivers clarity, intrigue, and confidence in just a few sentences. Whether you’re pitching a film, documentary, or TV series,  idea, this workshop will help you craft and refine your pitch so that it leaves a lasting impact.

Elements A Quick Pitch Can Include:

    You'll learn to:

Create a compelling title and logline that supports and help sells your pitch.

    You'll learn to:

Set the tone to quickly help the listener visualize your story and understand the tone.

    You'll learn to:

Keep it brief, concise and easy to ‘digest’. It’s your logline… only better.

    You'll learn to:

Emphasize ‘extras’: funds, actor attachments, awards, potential distribution, etc.

    You'll learn to:

Share where the idea came from. Have an interesting backstory or personal experience?

    You'll learn to:

Share why you’re the best person to tell this story? Is it a true story or based on a personal passion?

    What You’ll Practice:

      • How to spark a conversation instead of giving a monologue
      • When to stop talking and let them respond
      • How to answer questions concisely to keep momentum
      • How to recognize if your pitch is landing (interest vs. confusion)
      • How to avoid nervous rambling and stay in control
      • How to gracefully wrap up and leave them wanting more
      • Role play to learn what it’s like to be pitch TO

If pitching makes you nervous — or you just want to sharpen your skills — this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to pitch like a pro.
