It’s all the essential information your listener needs to know—if that’s all you ever get to say. A strong Quick Pitch delivers clarity, intrigue, and confidence in just a few sentences. Whether you’re pitching a film, documentary, or TV series, idea, this workshop will help you craft and refine your pitch so that it leaves a lasting impact.
Elements A Quick Pitch Can Include:

You'll learn to:
Create a compelling title and logline that supports and help sells your pitch.

You'll learn to:
Set the tone to quickly help the listener visualize your story and understand the tone.

You'll learn to:
Keep it brief, concise and easy to ‘digest’. It’s your logline… only better.

You'll learn to:
Emphasize ‘extras’: funds, actor attachments, awards, potential distribution, etc.

You'll learn to:
Share where the idea came from. Have an interesting backstory or personal experience?

You'll learn to:
Share why you’re the best person to tell this story? Is it a true story or based on a personal passion?
What You’ll Practice:
- How to spark a conversation instead of giving a monologue
- When to stop talking and let them respond
- How to answer questions concisely to keep momentum
- How to recognize if your pitch is landing (interest vs. confusion)
- How to avoid nervous rambling and stay in control
- How to gracefully wrap up and leave them wanting more
- Role play to learn what it’s like to be pitch TO
